This week, we should have been meeting at Corstorphine Hill for a Woodland Trail. This would include a walk, an Eye-Spy challenge, find the hedgehog photos and then finishing at the summit for a snack.

Hopefully you will still be able to get out once a day for a walk, run or cycle with other people in your house. Maybe you would like to try these activities:

Eye-Spy Challenge

See the photos below showing 24 things that you may be able to spot when you are out. Tick them off or maybe even take a photo of each one.

It would be amazing if you managed to spot them all (maybe over a few days).

Look at a map

Understanding how maps work is a great skill for life. When you get home, find a map (either online or a paper map) and try to remember where you went out. If you have a paper copy, maybe use a highlighter pen to show your route and use arrows to identify where you found each item on the eye-spy challenge.

Set us a challenge

We are out every day walking our dog Amber. Think of some things for us to spy on our walks.

Remember – when you have had a go at this activity, get your parents* to post to the Facebook Group – with photos if you can.

*unless you are old enough to do it yourself!
