We need parents to agree to some terms and conditions and take these agreed to when young people are signed up.

As normal for our camps we will have the following medication available, to be issued by a leader and details recorded, we apply common sense as parents, we adhere to dosage guidelines, if we have any doubts over a medical condition we will seek medical advice.

Paracetamol – headaches etcChlorphenamine – Piriton – allergy/rash/hay feverSimple Linctus – cough mixtureCalamine Lotion sunburn/rash/bites

By confirming your child’s attendance on the camp you agree to us using the medications as listed to ease symptoms where required, if there are any exceptions to this please let us know.

We have qualified first aiders on the event and will have comprehensive first aid supplies with us.

By confirming your child’s attendance on the event you ;

1. agree to check and confirm your child’s contact/medical details on OSM prior to the camp

2. agree to your child taking part in the camp programme including the activities

3. accept that whilst every care will be taken, the scouts are responsible for their possessions and we cannot be held liable for loss or damage (travel insurance is provided)

4. agree that if it becomes necessary for your child to receive medical treatment and you cannot be contacted to authorise this, that you give your general consent to any necessary medical treatment and authorise the Leader in charge to sign any document required by the hospital authorities.*

*Note: The medical profession takes the view that the parent’s/carer’s consent to medical treatment cannot be delegated. However, it can be a comfort to medical staff to have general consent in advance from parents/carers or to have a Leader on hand able to sign forms required by medical authorities.
